On November 12, 2018 North Bergen resident Carolina Villacis was diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer. The cancer spread throughout her organs, eventually taking over her brain. Carolina endured rigorous chemotherapy treatments that “prolonged her precious life.”

Villacis lost her battle to cancer on Feb.5th at 3:40 AM.

“Carolina was an exceptional sister, daughter, friend and aunt who touched the lives of everyone around her through her grace and positive attitude during her fight with cancer,” writes the Villacis family. “We are all devastated by Carolina’s loss and were not prepared for the high cost of a funeral service. We want to give Carolina the memorial she deserves, to honor her memory and say our last goodbyes.”

A GoFundMe has been created in Carolina’s honor. At the time of this posting – $2,133 have been raised.

Visitation for Carolina will be held on Friday, February 7th 2020 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Jorge Rivera Funeral Home (4543 John F. Kennedy Blvd, North Bergen, NJ 07047).

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, February 8th 2020 at 11:00 AM at the St. Augustine Church (3900 New York Ave, Union City, NJ 07087).

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 8th 2020 at 12:15 PM at 4101 John F. Kennedy Blvd, North Bergen, NJ 07047.
