“After carefully reviewing the CCTV footage, considering a council member hit an individual with her SUV, and left the scene without checking on the individual am calling for the resignation of Council member DeGise,” says Jersey City Ward F Councilman Frank Gilmore. “These behaviors are not indicative of someone in elected office.”

Gilmore’s call for Councilwoman Amy DeGise resignation joins a growing number. Earlier today, Councilman James Solomon called for DeGise’s resignation following the release of the hit-and-run footage.

Calls for the Councilwoman’s resignation have flooded social media since the release of the CCTV footage.
