It is designed to improve COVID-19 vaccine access for residents in Hudson and Bergen counties. Senior citizens from West New York were the first to benefit from the effort. In February, PMC leadership partnered with the West New York Housing Authority to coordinate vaccination of older adults who live in senior housing. Residents of North Bergen, Cliffside Park, Edgewater and West New York, as well as seniors in Weehawken have already been vaccinated as part of the initiative.

Last month Palisades vaccinators began administering vaccines in Union City at the Housing Authority Complex near Kennedy Boulevard. Vaccinators from the state-operated Hackensack Meridian Health vaccination Mega Site at the Meadowlands last week joined the Palisades effort by providing vaccinations at the North Bergen Recreation Center in the city.
